Sterilization of over 900 mosques begins today

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait, Farid Emadi, announced that from Sunday, Ministry will start the preparation of mosques in accordance with the requirements set by the health authorities in the country in accordance with the fatwas of the Fatwa Commission in the ministry.

Emadi said in A press release that the Ministry, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Defense will begin to sterilize mosques. Preparation will be done to arrange sterilizers in the entrances of mosques, provide masks for workers and prepare prayer halls to make spacing between worshipers.

He explained that the ministry will announce the date of opening the mosques after completing all the preparations in order to preserve the safety of the worshipers.

The sterilization process will include 908 mosques located in residential areas out of the 1,600 official mosques located in the country.
