Sibi George will be new Indian Ambassador to Kuwait

1993 batch IFS officer Sri Sibi George will be the new Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Indian newspaper The Hindu reported.

Yesterday the government of India has appointed T.S. Tirumurti as the next Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations and announced the new Ambassadors to various countries. The Hindu reported that Mr Sibi George will be appointed as the New Ambassador to Kuwait. Mr Sibi is currently the Ambassador of India to Switzerland.

Mr Sibi Georgealso served various Indian missions including Cairo, Doha, Islamabad, Tehran, Riyadh and Washington DC in various capacities.

Hailing from Kottayam District in the southern state of Kerala in India, he belongs to Podimattam family of Pala. A gold medallist both for his graduation and post-graduation, he also holds diploma in Arabic Language.
