A Lockdown Strangeness

Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Reminiscing the last week of Feb, with my midyear holidays in full swing; I was awaiting the school to reopen on the 1st of March, when suddenly the plagued air of corona pandemic shook the whole world to a standstill literally speechless, immobile, and statued. As a result, we got hecked up in Kuwait our second home and were yearning to fly to our maternal home which became simply impossible. My better half took a wise decision to send my kids to Kerala, when the virus was just spreading its roots in Kuwait, they were flown back to Kerala and we got locked down here 29th of February thus became an apocryphal day in the history of Kuwait and our life. But these lock down days I realised a very harsh bitter reality, that everything in this world is transient and we humans are susceptible to everything. Each morning I woke up, dying to see my kids and my mother who are all longing to meet us though we are miles apart. My mother’s heartening prayers will surely be comforted I believe coz the dark clouds of pain and agony has to subside and the world has to be let off free from the chains of this black virus which has left the world dumbfounded. The Kuwait government is taking all preventive measures to curb the rapid spread of the virus and I warmly appreciate the commendable initiative taken by the authorities which firms our foot in the Kuwait sands, I would like to beckon all my students the future stars of the world to anticipate the pre and post covid crisis which is really baffling us, no worries, no hiccups, lets all utilise these lockdown days fruitfully, wisely making the right tech choices and decisions until the dark clouds vanquish from the earth and we conquer the world with our might and indomitable will power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let us hope that the world welcomes the divine light of Ramadan at a time when the dark clouds of coronavirus looms over humanity spreading inadvertent fear, stress, darkness, despair and gloom. O thou kind Lord! Thou hast created humanity from the same stock. Thou have decreed that all belong to the same household, Then O lord cement us all together with oneness and embalm us with the divine light of hope and revelation. O lord gladden us with love. Let us envisage a world where our head is held high and our mind is without fear, where the world is not broken by the walls of hatred and social distancing, a world where we can breathe freely and peacefully. Its not a lockdown its just being aloof from our hurry burry busied life and spending time with our near and dear ones whom we met once in a lifetime, its time to mend and repair our schooled days, our friends who were hooked up in some corners of the world, our social commitments need a lift and our relations need to be strong and credible. Its time to leave out your juggling with household, your career, in laws, expectations , children and putting more efforts to becoming a perfectionist in everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let us all sail through this beautiful life and dig out the eternal joy of life and fulfilment and breathe a rejuvenating life .

Have a look within you will find a treasure of yourself.

STAY SAFE, STAY SOUND
