Kuwait Foreign Minister held telephonic talk with Indian counterpart on combating COVID-19

Kuwiat Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah on Friday phoned his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar, discussing overall historic and close relations bonding the two friendly countries in various sectors.

The phone talks also covered means of boosting cooperation for coping with spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic throughout the globe.

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister of Kuwait His Highness the Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah telephoned Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi and discussed mutual efforts to counter the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.

It is also to be notes that Kuwait will open amnesty for illegal Indian expats from April 11th till April 15th. Large number of illegal Indians are expected to avail this benefit. According to source, Kuwait will send the illegal Indian residents to India in a special flight arranged by Kuwait. The first batch of illegal residents left the country today to Philippines.
