Kuwait Islamic Council requests to start special flight to India during Amnesty period

Monday, March 30, 2020

Kuwait Islamic Council office bearers have appealed to the central government to arrange a special flight service for the Indian expatriate community during the amnesty period announced by the Kuwait government to strengthen its defense measures against pandamic covid 19.

The amnesty announced by the Kuwait government is commendable and welcome in this particular situation, where the country is implementing strong preventive measures, including public holidays and partial curfews.

According to an amnesty issued on April 1 to 30, all expatriates residents who violate the Kuwait law can return to the country without any fines or penalties.

KIC officials said in a press release that if special flights are allowed to repatriate Indians who wish to return home using the amnesty, it will be a great blessing to them during this difficult period.
