Meeting Sophia : The First Social humanoid robot

It was a fine evening, when I was studying for my finals and my mom asked me if I wanted to attend a session organized by TEF Kuwait, where I could meet Sophia ,the humanoid robot . I bursted with joy . I had read an article regarding Sophia. I found it really interesting, I did a lot of research about her and also about A.I. I never thought I could have a chance to meet her . This out of the blue opportunity was indeed a golden chance for me .Without any second thoughts I agreed to attend the session .
The session with Sophia I learned , was to take place on 26th February at American International School, Maidan Hawally. I spent sleepless nights envisaging about that novel moment when I would see Spohia. Finally, only one more day was left . That night I realized there was an outbreak of coronavirus in Kuwait . My mom asked me if I really wanted to go ,I replied, “yes ,I still want to go”. I prepared questions to ask her the next day . On that eventful day, I woke up that morning feeling joyous and bursting with energy. I got ready to leave . I was really excited when I arrived at the said venue and were directed to our seats. After few introductions and a long wait , Sophia appeared . Sophia is a realistic humanoid robot capable of displaying humanlike expressions and interacting with people. It's designed to work and aid in the field of research, education, and entertainment, and it also helps promote public discussion relating to AI ethics and the future of robotics. She made her first public appearance at South by Southwest Festival in mid-March 2016 in Austin, Texas, United States. She is able to display more than 60 facial expressions. Her distinct and unique Features and capabilities have made her special and most wanted . We all had a chance to take a picture with her. This special one on one meeting with Sophia will always be one of the most memorable days of my life.
