Saturday, March 28, 2020

Kuwait Municipality Director General Ahmad Al-Manfouhi declared on Saturday closure of cafes everywhere in Kuwait.

The decision is applied to cafes in markets, at shopping malls, fuel stations and rest stations on highways.

However, they are allowed to continue delivery service as of 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. when daily partial curfew goes into effect.

Al-Manfouhi has affirmed that the decision is part of precautionary and preventive measures that have been taken by the municipality to stem spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Meanwhile, the director general of funerals' affairs, Dr. Faisal Al-Awadhi, declared a ban on visits to cemeteries.

As to funerals, only relatives of the deceased are allowed to be present, in line with directions by the Ministry of Health; also as part of the extraordinary measures against the disease.

Moreover, the municipality has set burial time from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The corpse must be buried instantly.
