Financial compensation paid to Al-Mutla’a sand collapse victims

The Embassy of Nepal received ‘monetary compensation’ on behalf of the sand collapse victims, an incident that happened in the city of Mutla’a, in the presence of the contractor’s representatives, the local agent and the concerned state officials.

According to local daily report, full financial dues were paid to the victims. The report also dded that the company also provided ‘other’ financial support to their families of the victims, in addition to disbursement of full monthly salaries associated with employment in the project.

Daily, quoting the representative of the local agent of the Chinese company implementing the second contract of Al-Mutla’a City project, reported that all observations made by PAM regarding the Nepalese manpower were taken into consideration after meeting with embassy officials. In addition to the completion and implementation of employment claims, the company also offered financial dues and other gifts to the injured, in addition to health care before handing them over to the embassy of their country.
