Hala February is one of the most dazzling festivals in Kuwait. The Hala February is an annual event; The Hala February also coincides with the Liberation Day. So, it is an economic and patriotic festival.

Hala February has been held in Kuwait every year since 1999 to celebrate the coming of spring and to promote Arab culture. Shoppers get a chance of gaining huge discount on their purchases during the season. Hala February is the right moment for both young and elders to visit Kuwait and participate in events like culture festival, raffles, shopping, carnivals, tourists shot and contests. Green, red, black and white are the colors of Hala February in Kuwait. February is a beautiful and memorable month. This is the best time and month to spend more time outdoors and explore because there is so many things to see. The streets are decorated with fresh spring flowers. It makes Kuwait come alive. February is the month of the colorful festival. The national liberation day this is on 25 / 26 February. In this month red, green, black and white color is all around the town. There are so many shops that mostly sells are things for the Hala February festival. They sell costumes, hats, decoration, flags, etc. Most of the buildings have beautiful light which is more admirable at night. It becomes alive in the evening. This is the attractive thing that catches foreigner’s attention during this month. The festival is celebrated with colorful events originally throughout the country. It is the most enjoyable festival in the country. This month is known for its happiness filled with real Arabian warmth and hospitality. Kuwait libration day is celebrated on 26th February.

The festival of “Hala February” as pronounced in Kuwaiti Arabic language which means welcome February is held in commemoration of the liberation of Kuwait.
