Kuwait Indian School organized Educational Trip to Al Shaheed Park, on 9th January 2020, located on the Periphery of Kuwait city. Our adventurers of class 8 paid visit to the park. This is the biggest and evergreen park in the State of Kuwait. One would be blissful to visit this magnificent park and be guided by the best of guides.

It is to commemorate for the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Iraqi war. The guides took them to a big olive tree near the entrance which symbolizes peace. It is sign of ‘Peace Be Upon You’. The guides proceeded to the Sculpture. There many sculptures like Freedom Sculpture, Raising Our Sails, EVO, Map abstraction, Genesis and Eruption, etc. the students were amazed and astosinished by the brilliant work of Sculpture, especially the camels made by Bade Al Mansooz.

He had reused all the junk items people left during camping in this masterpiece like, broken bicycle, tents, chairs etc. and arranged them in such a manner that they look like fives camels in sitting position. The constitution monument has 183 blocks some of the blocks were arranged low and high according to their importance. The students were mesmerized by it.

They were also surprised to know about the highest area of Shaheed Park which represents the highest point in Kuwait, Al Mutla Ridge. On the right of Al Mutla was a place where programmes and festivals for kids were held. The guides were also shown a brilliant greenery scheme in which big tree is planted in the parking. There are two museums – Habitat and Memorial Museum which teach them a lot. It was a good experience.

They had visited a place where 400 birds migrated. It was an immense and great pleasure for students. It was a fruitful trip to know Kuwait’s rich and diverse culture and they were amused with supernal and eternal beauty of the park. We thanked our Principal Mrs.Sabahat Khan and Supervisors Mrs.Reena Thomas for giving an opportunity to visit the park.
