New Indian School, Mangaf Celebrated its Second Annual Cultural Festival

‘New Indian School, Mangaf’ one of the budding schools of the “Al Jeri Holding Group” celebrated its Second Annual Cultural Festival, the “Colours Of Rainbow - 2020” on the 25th of January at The Cambridge School, Mangaf auditorium.

The occasion was graced by Chief Guest, Dr. Susovana Sujit Nair (Renowned Oncologist - Kuwait Cancer Control Center), Guest Of Honour, Mr Ashfaque Ahmed Khan (President of Indian Cultural Society, Kuwait) Principals of other Schools, Management Representatives and other esteemed guests.

The cultural festival was a great success under the able leadership and guidance of Mrs. Jayammal Wilson (Principal, New Indian School). The event was further rendered a success due to the concerted hardwork and tireless efforts of the dedicated teachers, support staff and the enthusiastic students.

The festival began with the singing of the Kuwaiti and Indian National Anthems, ‘Swagatham- Welcome dance’, reading from Holy Scriptures and the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp. This was followed by the Principal’s address and the Felicitation of the Guests.

The “Colours of Rainbow -2020” was designed to portray a bouquet of colours and displayed various performances of children across the student strength.

The Kindergarten wing performed ‘Blooming Butterflies Dance’, ‘Banjara Dance’, ‘Arabic dance’ and the ‘Frozen Movie Theme dance’.
Grade 1 Children performed the musical play “Moana” where the young children displayed their theatrical skills.
Grade 1 children also performed a dance “Swadesh:Fusion of Bhangra, Bihu and Dandiya”.

Primary School performed the Contemporary Dance ‘Aaja Nachle’ and the ‘Mayur Nritya ‘.

The School Choir mesmerized the audience with lovely English and Hindi Songs.

The program was brought to a resounding culmination with the performance of the Grand Finale “Incredible India”, displaying the Rich Cultural heritage of India.

The program was brought to a befitting end by the singing of the School Song.
