Nothing Comes Quite Free

We all have desires, don’t we? They maybe in any form. As objects, people or whatsoever. But do we get what we want immediately? No, for every desire we have, we pay a price to get its result. A PRICE is not a simple five letter word that can give what you want.
Regarding the above, I would like to quote Doc Wilson who said, “Nothing in this world comes quite free” Well that’s quite true. We pay a price, which maybe of any form. For an object, we pay the price of money, for success, we pay the price of hard work. Such are the characteristics of achievement.
Taking into consideration hard work, we have not only seen personalities like Abraham Lincoln but also seen A large mass of people, say a country hard working for what they want, in other words, freedom and liberty, like South Africa.
One of those nations is our own country, India, which has worked hard for centuries to establish freedom in their country.
As far as we concern our knowledge, we gained independence on the 15th of August, 1947. But we Indians started enjoying Independence approximately 17 years ago on the 26th of January 1930. This surprisingly coincides with the republic day we celebrate. But yet in many minds, this day is celebrated as the first day of Indian Independence.
It was not in a spur of a moment that this day just popped out of nowhere, nevertheless It is a day that we must recognize as a result for all the struggle we faced previously. It is day that marks that hard work pays.
Hard work not only gives but also takes. Hard work is not like eating a piece of cake. Just like wants cost, hard work costs. The fine line of difference between hard work and desire is that hard work give you your desire, while desires may not do the same.
We Indians have spent not a penny or so, but a lot for our hard work to pay off. You don’t need money to win, you just need hard work. Money cannot get you anywhere except a little bit of popularity, but hard work and struggle can make you achieve what is impossible for money to buy.
Research suggest that in order to gain independence, we not only worked, but also lost, lost millions of lives, los wealth and economy, lost almost every thing that we had. But such is the beauty of hard work that no matter how much you lose in the process, you get more than what you had.
With this, I conclude my article with just a small quote by Colin Powell, “Dreams do not become reality by magic, It takes sweat, determination and HARD WORK” So friends, let us all celebrate this historical Indian festival and not only achievement of success but also a form of respect towards all the hard workers who have lost and gained to celebrate this auspicious day.
