India My Land
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Land of high mountains, streams and green valleys
Land of high values, valor and glory
Sculptures and scriptures, pearls of this nation
India my land, is known for compassion
Guarded by soldiers, she stays there in fashion
No room to bother, they care her with passion
Shielded with prayers and teemed with love
They wrap her with fervor, day, night and so
Cherishing the freedom, relishing the rights
Forget not the duties, the decorum, the law
Roads taken were never so smooth
Forget not, the lives we lost
She is the mother and She may look calm
But feels the pain, deep within the most
Don’t let her down with malice very often
Don’t take for granted, you may go stranded
Green, White and Saffron, unfurls in pattern
Up in the air, as we stand there with baton
Forward we move, together we pass
Resonating glory of yester we grow
