The Propagation of the 5th Islamic Seminar Officially Launched by Kuwait Kerala Islahi Center

Monday, December 30, 2019

The propagation of the 5th Islamic Seminar scheduled to be conducted in February 2020 by kuwait Kerala Islahi Center was officially launched on Friday, 27th December, at Masjid Al Kabeer auditorium.

Dr Bassam Shathwi, professor at Kuwait University and chief editor of Al Furqan magazine, inaugurated the event.

Speaking at the event, Dr Shathwi said that India is currently going through a deep crisis where it’s own people are being alienated.

“We are all one, and we must stay united. The life of this world is fraught with trials and tribulations. We will be besieged from all quarters, and we must be able to overcome them.

Further, he noted that Muslims in China, India and Palestine are facing huge challenges, and added that Muslims of India are moderate in their outlook.

India, Dr Shathwi observed, has always stood for pluralism where people of all faiths co-existed peacefully. “This must be maintained in the nation’s journey ahead.”

It’s heartening to know that the whole of India stands united against the recently passed draconian law known as Citizenship Amendment Act, he added. “This law is surreptitious. When Kashmir’s special status was revoked, no protest broke out against it.

“So was the situation when the Babri Masjid verdict was unfairly skewed in favour of the aggressor.

“This emboldened the ruling dispensation to follow it up with its next blow through the CAA, which led to the massive protests across India.”

Therefore, with unity, the people of India will be able to defeat such draconian acts, Dr Shathwi concluded.

Seminar organising committee chairman, PN Abdul Latheef Madani hosted the event.

The evening also saw the launch of the Seminar coupons by Khalek Adoor, organising committee head.

PN Farhan Abdul Latheef, a student of Madina University, addressed the gathering.

Malappuram Area President of Wisdom Youth Wing, Harris Kayakkodi gave the keynote address.

Chairmen of the seminar organising committees, Ashraf Ayyur and Basheer Batha also spoke at the event.

Central office bearers, KC Abdul Latheef, Haroon Abdul Aziz, Imtiaz NM, Sameer Ekarool, Hydrose Ismail and Hafiz Mohammed Aslam were present.
NK Abdul Salam rendered the welcome speech and Aslam Kappad gave the vote of thanks.

The 5th Islamic Seminar will be held on the theme, “Religion, Nationality and Humanity” organised by Kuwait Kerala Islahi Center from 25th to 28th February at the Farwaniya Garden grounds.
