Center for India Studies Kuwait Organized an Interactive Session on Recent Developments in NRI Taxation in India

As part of the monthly discussion session, Center for India Studies Kuwait, Fahaheel unit organized an Interactive Session on Recent Developments in NRI Taxation in India. The session was conducted in association with CAPITAIRE, Kuwait.

Chartered Accountant and Partner of CAPITAIRE Kuwait, Mr. Sreejith Kuniyil, explained in detail about the tax regulations that bind NRIs for their income generated in India through any sources such as business investments, rental income, sale of property etc. Mr. Sreejith also explained the tax implications an NRI have, while returning back permanently to India. Subjects such as faceless e-assessment, digital economy, direct tax code , Aadhar for NRIs etc. were also discussed in detail.

With the active participation of audience, this event anchored by CIS Fahaheel Area Vice President Mrs. Nisha Dileep was well received.

Earlier, CIS Fahaheel Area President Mr. Sudhir V. Menon had a presentation done regarding Center of India Studies, its objectives, previous & future programs.
