Syro-Malabar association to celebrate Silver Jubilee in Kuwait

Yearlong Silver Jubilee celebration of Syro-Malabar Cultural Association (SMCA) Kuwait will begin this Thursday 28th of November 2019, SMCA officials said herein a press meeting.

The silver jubilee celebration will be inaugurated by Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, the Curia Bishop of Syro-Malabar church at a special function being held at Kuwait City cathedral.

On Friday, November 29th a cultural evening will be held at Indian Central School auditorium, Abbasiya where a variety of cultural programs will be held, officials told in the press briefing.

Representatives of Syro-Malabar associations from other GCC countries will be attending the meeting which will be held on Friday 29th morning at Kuwait.

As part of the yearlong celebration to commemorate the silver jubilee of SMCA, various activities including 'Karunya Home scheme', Village adaptation, Blood donation, Nasrani Conference, Sports and other activities are planned throughout the year, organisers said. The celebration will conclude on January 2021.

Syro-Malabar Cultural Association (SMCA) is the official lay association of the Syro-Malabar Church in Kuwait. SMCA President Thomas Kuruvila, General Secretary Biju P Anto, Wilson Vadakketdath, Bijoy Palakkunnel, and Shinto George were present during the press meet.
