Monday, November 25, 2019

The 3rd Annual Sports Meet of New Gulf Indian School had a bombastic start on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Al Sahel Sports Club, Abu Halifa. The day began optimistically with the Quran recitation followed by the Kuwait National Anthem and the Indian National Anthem. Mr. Edward Myler Crook, Principal, Future Bilingual School, made his privileged presence as the chief guest of this special day. Adding to the reputability, Mr. Sreekumar Pillai, Managing Director, Al Faisal Educational Est. graced the special day as the guest of honor. The day marked its importance as the Olympic torch was held high ceremoniously and led the way for the other events to unfold. Students took part in the March-Past parade, where they had put in tremendous efforts that contributed to commendable results.

The tiny tots of the pre-primary performed an energetic drill competing with the students of the primary section. Adding to this, there were nearly hundred students who actively took part in the karate mass drill performing the basic techniques of self-defense along with Kata. The pyramid formation by the higher grade students was remarkable as they exhibited the pyramid of their respective houses with a competitive spirit.

The laudable session of the day was the 200 mtrs running race conducted for the parents. It was an engaging and exciting moment for the students, as they were on cloud nine to witness the active participation of the parents. The day marked its glory as the students were commemorated with medals and certificates by the dignitaries.

The sports meet turned out to be remarkable with the guidance our beloved Principal, Mr. Pradap Felix, and our respected Vice-Principal, Mrs. Ambikadevi Sreekumar.
This day will linger in our hearts with colorful memories.
