TEF Hosted & Organized Kuwait’s 1st Operational Excellence Award & 3rd Engineering Excellence Award

Under the Patronage of Ministry of Electricity & Water, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, KNPC, KIPIC, PIC & EQUATE, Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait, the one & only ISO 9001:2015 certified voluntary Engineers Forum registered with Indian Embassy organized the Kuwait’s 1st Operational Excellence Awards & 3rd Engineering Excellence Awards Organized & Hosted by TEF on 7th November 2019 from 8.15 AM to 9.00 AM at Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait.

Mr. Waleed Al-Bader Chief Executive Officer, KNPC and His Excellency K. Jeevasagar, Ambassador of India to Kuwait graced Kuwait’s 1st Operational Excellence Awards (OEA) & 3rd Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) ceremony and distributed awards to the winners.

Mr. Waleed Al-Bader Chief Executive Officer, KNPC and His Excellency K. Jeevasagar, Ambassador of India to Kuwait appreciated the efforts of TEF in conducting Technological Conferences and recognizing Engineers with Excellence Awards, which will help to bring out inherent capabilities of Engineers & Industries in Kuwait.

Participants from various Industries, Institutions, Organizations and Individuals from all over the Country submitted their nominations for the Coveted OEA & EEA awards. The winners of the awards includes MEW, KOC, KNPC, KUWAIT FLOUR MILL & BAKERIES, NAPESCO, AL MULLA INDUSTRIES, NBTC, SAR-S, AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE OF KUWAIT and RELIANCE WORLDWIDE.

Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan, Specialist – Reliability, KNPC was recognized with TEF Veteran award for his continuous contribution towards the growth of TEF.

“Engineering of the Year” Award was bagged by Mr. Ahmad Issa Alown, Senior Process Engineer, KNPC-MAA Refinery towards his contribution in the implementation of new projects in the Gas Plant of MAA Refinery.

“Engineering Professional of the Year” Award was bagged by Mrs. Jamilah Al-Mutairi, Team Leader Process Engineering, MAB Refinery – KNPC towards her contribution & active participation in Clean Fuel Projects and vital role in U-216 commissioning and stabilization which propelled MAB Refinery to total ULSD producing refinery. She is a key member of Corporate team working on KNPC’s future expansion and integration.

The highlight of the award ceremony was the “Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Engineering Stewardship (Accomplished Leader) in Kuwait” and the recipient was Mr. Adnan Darweesh Alaradi, former DCEO KOC. He was behind the successful execution of multiple projects in the West Kuwait Directorate of KOC to maximize the production and minimize the flaring. He was a member in the executive board of multiple organizations under Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
