ICSK Amman Celebrated Children's Day With Pomp & Gaiety

“Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons”
Every day is a special day at ICSK Amman. November 14th being Children’s Day, was extra special. The day was celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter and our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru popularly known as ChaCha Nehru. It was a very vibrant day with loads of fun and celebrations.

The Ammanites were given a red carpet welcome and the school day began with beautiful songs played from Radio Amman Jukebox especially for the students. The RJs of the day made the radio show truly lively and entertaining. The Vice Principal and a senior teacher were special guests on the Radio show and shared memories of their childhood children’s day. The Principal encouraged the children to work diligently and enjoy their childhood, a short-lived phase to the best possible. He wished all the students a very happy children’s day and on behalf of Radio Amman, the Principal and Vice Principal gave away prizes to lucky winners from each class.

The cultural activities began after the lighting of the lamp by the Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair, Vice Principal Dr. Mary Isaac, Chief Guest Mrs. Sana Hamzakutty and the Senate President Ms. Manaar Mohammed Abdul Subhan Rehman.

The highlight of the special assembly organized by KG section was a special skit on Outdoor/Indoor games Vs Electronic Gadgets, performed to teach the children to say No to gadgets and to play more and enjoy their childhood. The teachers gave enthusiastic and variety performances for the students in order to express their love and care for them. They enthusiastically took part in dessert making and flower arrangement competitions organized by the student senate.

November 14th was also celebrated as the Self Governance Day as the Senate members and senior students shouldered the responsibility to run the school for this day. To show their appreciation and respect towards their teachers, the students did various power packed performances which was absolutely enjoyed by one and all present.

The day ended in a beautiful resonance lasting in everybody’s minds. All the programmes performed by the teachers as well as the students were much-admired by everyone present and will always remain etched in the memory of one and all.
