NIRAM 2019 Children’s Day Artistic Painting Competition Conducted by Kala (Art) Kuwait

All roads led to Indian Community School, Khaitan, venue of Kala (Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2019” Children’s Day Painting Competition in Association with “AMERICAN TOURISTER”, on Friday, 15th November 2019. The entire venue was crowded with little artists from various corners of Indian Expatriate Community in Kuwait, as well as from Arab, Philippines and Sri Lankan nationals studying in Indian Schools, flashing with different colours and lines created a festive atmosphere.

"NIRAM-2019” the popular painting competition on the occasion of Children's Day celebration by marking the 130th birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India. Kala (Art) Kuwait is delighted to celebrate its 15th Anniversary of “NIRAM” Painting Competition with elegance and glory which is opened for all students of Indian Schools in Kuwait.

There were more than a 3025 entries out of which 2810 children took part in the competitions. Various Gift items were distributed to all participants immediately upon conclusion of the competition of each group. Clay Sculpture was also a competition item for the students and the parents were actively participated in the open canvas as well.

Indian Community School honorary Secretary Mr. Mohammed Amir inaugurated the event. Kala (Art) Kuwait President Mukesh V. P., General Secretary Siva Kumar, Program General Convener Jaison Joseph, Treasurer Hassan Koya, Conveners Samkutty Thomas, Rakesh P. D, Sunil Kumar American Touristor Manager Mr. Noufal, Smart Indian School Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyyer, Kerala Lokasabha Member Mr. Babu Francis, Media Representatives Mr. Nixon George and Mr. Sunoj Nambiar, Prominent Community Leaders Mr. Basheer Batha, Mr. Hamsa Payyannur, Mr. Aniyan Kunju, Mr. Johney Kunnil and Mr. K. J. John were attended the inaugural function.

Well Known Artists Mr. M. V. John, Mr. Sunil Kulanada, Mr. Nikesh and Mr. Maheendran had done the overall supervision of the competition. A team of more than 100 Volunteers of Kala (Art) controlled the program lead by its Executive Members Ajith, Mustafa, Rathidas, Ambili Rakesh, Aneecha Shyjith, Suresh, Aneesh, Rijo, Ashraf, Santhosh. O.M., Bharathan, Sarath, Anil and Nithin.

The results of the Competitions will be announced by the organizing committee as well as the judging committee on 1st December 2019 through leading newspapers and also websites. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on 13th December 2019 at Oxford Pakistani English School, Abbasiya.

Kala (Art) Kuwait, announce exclusive prizes for the winners. The first place winners of each group will receive a Gold coin & Gold medal, second place winner with silver medal and third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento & certificate. Besides the 1st, 2nd & 3rd, places, there will be Merit Prizes and Ten (10) percent of the participants will be awarded with consolation prizes. Apart from the individual winners, there will be Overall Championship Trophy for the Schools who topped in the first three places in rating.

Also, a Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the School from which the maximum numbers of students were participated in this event, as a tribute to our beloved Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala (Art) Kuwait.

Students and parents are familiar with 'NIRAM', and they can no longer be deceived, as this is the 15th consecutive year Kala (Art) Kuwait has been successfully conducting this prestigious painting competition on the occasion of Children's day.
