KKIC successfully conducts 8th ISCON

The 8th edition of the annual Islamic Students Conference (ISCON) organized by Kuwait Kerala Islahi Center (KKIC) was inaugurated by the Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Nasser Al Mutairi on Friday, 8th November, 2019.

In his inaugural address, the undersecretary emphasized the importance of the conference as a means to guide the student community in the light of the Quran and authentic prophetic traditions to be righteous humans, and away from superstitions, bad habits and radical ideas.

For his part, Tajuddin Swalahi, Chief Coordinator of Peace Radio, said, “Events like these are the need of the hour in the current climate of religious extremism to make sure that the new generation is not influenced by such currents.

Wisdom Roots Joint Convener, Shafiq Swalihi, tackled the subject of ‘Bringing up our children in the current times’ during the ‘Parenting Session’ that was held later in the evening.

FIMA President, Kareem Irfan, and IPlus TV Director, Zaid Patel, rendered the felicitation addresses.

Top-scoring students from Islahi Madrasas and the winners of Quran learning contest were honored at a prize-distribution ceremony by Sheikh Nasser Al Mutairi.

KKIC President PN Abdul Latif presided the proceedings, while General Secretary, Sunash Shukur, gave the welcome address, and Treasurer, KC Abdul Latif delivered the vote of thanks.
