The Cry of Amazon

They told that I live in Amazon
I heard it in the pain of dying
The fire clutched on to me and didn’t leave
If I am not wrong, I live in Amazon.

The creatures wearing similar clothes with a mask
They tried to separate the red flower from the large trees
But missed the small plants like me,
Who were groaning to live
Our groan was deaf to ears.

The red flowers kept passing on, on and on
I heard the pain of my dear friends
Who pass by my way for water
Oh! They are no more to cross my path.

I wasn’t fully turned to ash
Only part of me joined the heaps of grey
With the pain of death ,helpless I watched my dears die
Oh dears! Oh dears! I was helpless.
