IBPC honours Kuwaiti and Indian Business Personalities

In a glittering function, Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC), Kuwait honours the successful business personalities from both Kuwaiti and Indian community during their annual celebration in Kuwait. The 15th anniversary of IBPC was held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait on 28th October 2019. The special guest for the evening Dr Shashi Tharoor handed over IBPC Awards during the event.

The Chief Guest Dr Shashi Tharoor commented the IBPC for recognising successful Kuwaiti business personalities as it adds value to the Indo Kuwait relationship, he said. The Chairman of IBPC Mr Anant Kapadiya, in his speech briefed the activates of IBPC. Hon. Vice chairman Mr Gurvinder Singh Lamba welcomed the audience. The event was attended by a galaxy of personalities from both Indian and Kuwaiti communities. Indian Ambassador K Jeeva Sagar, IBPC Hon Secretary Mr Deepak Agarwal, Hon Jt Secretary Soly Mathew, Treasurer Mr Kaizar T Shakir were also present.

The Annual IBPC Award was given by Dr Tharoor. The awardees are Dr Massouma Al Mubarak - the first woman cabinet minister in Kuwait and specialist in international law, Mr Mohammad Reza Yousef Behbehani - the founding partner of Mohammed Saleh & Reza Yousef Behbehani Co, Mr Sabah Al Rayes of Pan Arab Consulting Engineers, Mr Nouri Al-Nouri of Nouri Industrial Establishment Company (NIEC), Mr Ahmad Al Sarraf - a well-known columnist in Kuwait, Mr Shivy Bhasin of Bhasin Company, Mr Surinder Sarna CFO of Alshaya group, Mr Subhash C Jolly of Ali Al Zamil Foodstuff Co, Dr P M Dhar, and Dr Asad Khan - Managing partner of Kuwait Swedish Cleaning Company.

This is the eighth consecutive year, IBPC is honouring Indian and Kuwaiti personalities for their outstanding achievements for their areas of activities. Later Mr Gurvinder Singh Lamba, Hon. Secretary of IBPC proposed vote of thanks. The event was concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
