SIMS celebrates Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to pay tribute to the official language of India – Hindi .

Language and culture of any country plays an important role in connecting people to each other and helps in making a strong nation.

At SIMS Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 18th and 19th September as a two days grand celebration. On 18th September a special assembly was held for the students and on 19th September parents were invited to share the joy.

The program was conducted with great enthusiasm by the participants under the guidance of the teachers of the Hindi Department.

The charts that were put up on the Bulletin boards were extracts from master pieces of Hindi literature. Charts decorated with famous Hindi quotes and poems adorned the whole school .

The Chief guest for the Hindi Diwas celebration on 19 September was Mr. Amitabh Ranjan , the Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy and Mr. Muzzamil Malik-famous Indian entrepreneur in Kuwait. The program started with recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. We then had a beautiful prayer song presented by the students of grade VI There was an amazing dance performance by the children of class V .It was followed by a skit by the children of class VI then and a dance performance by the children of class IV . Bacchaa Baba .. a funny skit enacted by the students of class VII was full of humour and was very entertaining. Nukkad natak was performed by class VII students to spread awareness about ill treatment of old people and to make the audience realize the importance of paying them respect.

The skit Bhagti zindagi , choothte rishte was enacted by the students of grade VIII. It had a unique theme and it grabbed the attention of the audience .

Humanitarian, Entertainment and Arts League presented a skit which was very heart-touching and showed us what kind of world we live in.

Dr. Anis Ahmed recited a poem which motivated the audience to face the challenges of life .He welcomed the Chief-guest, dignitaries, and parents. Mrs Anita Sadanand proposed vote of thanks in HINDI and thanked parents for encouraging the students by attending the function; She made an appeal to the students not to shift from French to Hindi just for scoring more marks with the assumption that Hindi is difficult subject to score marks. She also thanked students& teachers of Hindi department for organizing the function successfully.
