Lawsuit filed to ban Twitter in Kuwait

Kuwaiti lawyer Anwaar Al-Jabali filed a lawsuit to request the blocking of the social media application “Twitter”.

She insisted that Twitter has become a platform for launching and circulating rumors, which in turn harms the society and negatively impacts morals and values.

Lawyer Al-Jabali stressed that weak monitoring of fake accounts by the relevant authorities has helped the rumors to find suitable environment to grow and become widespread, adding that the huge number of accounts on Twitter exceeds the capacity of the country to monitor them due to which the most suitable solution is to ban Twitter in Kuwait.
