Kuwait cheers news of His Highness Amir's return

Kuwaitis have received with delight and jubilation the Amiri Diwan's announcement on Tuesday that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will return home Wednesday after conducting reassuring medical checkups in the United States.
Immediately after the announcement, social media networks were flooded with images of His Highness the Amir and hashtags celebrating his return and congratulating him on successful medical tests.
Many Kuwaitis have also written and published welcoming poems and letters to His Highness the Amir on posted it on their accounts.
In their hashtags, Kuwaiti people emphasized that Kuwait and the whole region need His Highness the Amir and his wisdom particularly in this delicate time.
Such hashtags included "The Wise Leader Returns Home", "Tomorrow, Kuwait Will Shine for Return of Gulf Sage," and "Welcome Back, Great Wall of Kuwait".
On the official level, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Jabri unveiled plans to organize a series of activities to mark the dear occasion.
Kuwaiti people spontaneous and joyous reaction to the news of His Highness' return reflected a strong love to their leader, Head of the Political Science Department at the Kuwait University Dr. Hassan Jawhar told KUNA.
He said that growing challenges in the region have proved His Highness far-sightedness when he called for sticking to dialogue peaceful diplomacy to resolve problems and iron out differences.
"We need the wisdom and insight of His Highness the Amir," Jawhar said.
He hailed His Highness the Amir's efforts and diplomacy which boosted Kuwait's standing at the world stage and merited it world respect.
For his part, Kuwait University media professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Otaibi echoed a similar view.
Kuwait, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, deserved admiration and respect at the international level for adopting great foreign and humanitarian policies, he told KUNA. He added that His Highness the Amir efforts gained him and Kuwait love of peoples of the Arab and Islamic worlds.
