American University Fair-2019 at Indian Educational School, Kuwait

Aiming at the holistic development of the students, Indian Educational School, Bhavans Kuwait, often organizes orientation programs for the students and their parents. On October 9, 2019, a team of representatives from four reputed US Universities named Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Houston, The University of Kansas, and The University of Pittsburgh joined hands to organize an informative and interactive session exclusively for the grade 10 and 12 students of Indian Educational School.

The objective of the orientation program was to create a counseling-focused interactive session for the students of IES to discover appropriate educational pathways in the United States in pursuit of academic and subsequent professional excellence.

The session began with a counselling focused presentation by Mr. Rohit, the Assistant Director of Outreach, who explained in detail why U.S. remains the most popular destination for international students and its impact on the world today. He also explored the changing world of careers, focusing on the increasing ‘convergence’ with subjects, emphasizing the importance of a range of subjects such as Physics, Psychology, Journalism, Technology, Business, Music, Agriculture, and Economics. The changing career landscape in the US and the world was explicated with adequate examples by Mr. Rohit much to the satisfaction of the student-parent gathering.

The active participation of parents and students, in the wrapping up interactive session, was highly appreciated by the US representatives. Many more informative sessions were promised by the visiting group in the days to come. The visiting team thanked the IES management for their earnest endeavors to provide students with a wide spectrum of academic and professional options for molding them into the finest professionals of tomorrow with a global perspective.
