Diners always crave to know more on how their food is prepared and what makes the food tastier. Food preparation at the table side creates memorable and enjoyable moments by putting some fun into fine dining. Tresind Restaurant in Kuwait brings cooking out of the kitchen and to the table, bringing your dining experience to new luxurious heights.

Tresind Restaurant is at the breathtaking locality of Salwa seaside. It’s in the Palms Hotel Beach & Spa, Salwa. Once you enter the Palms Hotel, the ‘Tresind’ Restaurant is located on the sea side end. The name 'Tresind' is a summation of two parts; 'Tres' from French meaning 'very', and 'Ind' for India. It’s truly a Very Indian restaurant with a twist.

Tresind welcomes you to a magnificent dining area with modern interiors and a marvelous view of the sea. One end of the restaurant is the well decorated Mocktail Bar, where they have a range of cocktails to offer and the other side is the dining area. The ambience is amazing. On either side of the wall near the mocktail bar is decorated with artefacts. The Cart and a Cycle decorated with lights near the entrance gives you an Indian welcome. It is no-doubt, a unique atmosphere for one to enjoy the delicacies in this restaurant.

They have a Veg and Non Veg Set menu for Lunch and Dinner. For those who prefer la carte they provide digital tab menu to select. However, the Set Menu, even though the price is on the higher side, is definitely a must try for a once in a while luxurious dining experience with your special guest or loved ones. The 9 course vegetarian set menu cost 18.500 Dinar while the Non-Vegetarian option cost you 19.500 Dinar all inclusive.

First we were served with Pindi Chana Hummus, Crispy Okra with curried Yoghurt, Muhammara Chutney, Za’atar bread and Assorted Papad. I just loved the way they brought it to our table and presented it. It was not on a normal serving tray but a house shaped tray stand which was lit and each partition had a dish in it.

Surprises for a wonderful evening and dining experience had just begun.

We were served with some extraordinary drinks which were prepared live at our table. “Lava lamp – flavors of different fruits and herbs concoction”, “the Boiling Skull – strawberry, raspberry, rosemary and lemonade”, “Sorbet on the time – mocktail made from Blend of Red Grape, Orange Juice Ginger and Honey, accompanied with the Sorbet made from Passion Fruit and Mango” and “Tiki Colada – blend of tropical fruits with coconut cream”.

Lava Lamp Cocktails - where of 3 varieties Passion Fruit, Green Apple and Blue Orange topped with Lemonade and Sprite, which were poured in glasses of dry ice, making the drink look like a fully functional lava lamp. It was amazing to watch and later drink it. It’s a delight to see drink being served in Skull shaped glass with lots of dry ice smoke thus the name The Boiling Skull. The presentation of all the drinks were truly mesmerizing.

Mithai Sorbet made from Reduction of Caramelized Milk garnished with Saffron is a Palate Cleanser which is served as a Course between the Starter’s and a Main Course.

Tableside preparation is a show for the senses as you see, smell and then taste fresh and fantastic food prepared beside you, and just for you. This excited me and I was eager to know what was next.

Then came the soup “Lentil Soup Cappuccino with Cookies”. It was served in a small cup designed like cappuccino coffee along with some cumin cookies. Soup was outstanding and tasted so good and different from the usual lentil soup.

It was time to relish some starters. Modernist Chaat Trolley, Chicken Khurchan, Lamb chop and Tenderloin Steak. The Chaat was with a live presentation at our table. It was amazing to watch the live demonstration by the chef mixing three different types of Indian Chaats with chutneys and sauces on a Tray. They dipped one of the ingredients in liquid nitrogen which just got frozen in seconds and they crushed it on top of the chaat. I just enjoyed eating the Chaat. It was Irresistible.

The Exclusive North Indian Dish Chicken Khurchan was a salivating treat. Small Romali Rotis with Green chutney, grated salad and crunchy chicken pieces mixed with masala spices. Again the presentation was just remarkable.

Lamb Chop and Tenderloin Steak were also very tasty.

Then came our Main Course Assorted Bread, Butter Chicken and Biriyani (You can choose either Chicken, Prawns or Lamb). Butter Chicken was with a live presentation where the chef prepared the delicious dish in front of us. The main Course was good, delicious and quite exotic!

Deconstructed Black Forest Cake, AAMSUTRA and Flavored cotton candy with cardamom was a great conclusion to our connoisseur delight.

They have a very good selection for vegetarians. Variety of unique vegetarian items you can find in their menu with exciting taste.
We got to explore new flavors of Indian Cuisine.
