Kuwait’s leading family grocer, Oncost, inaugurated its largest store in Kuwait at Al-Qurain on Wednesday September 18th, 2019. His Excellency Mr. Mahmoud Boushehri, the governor of Mubarak Al Kabeer inaugurated the store in presence of Ambassadors of various countries, Diplomats, OnCost management and a galaxy of invitees and customers.

With more than 4,000sqm of retail space, the Qurain store is the largest OnCost store in Kuwait and is the first in Mubarak Al-Kabir governorate. OnCost already had 20 stores in Kuwait.

Oncost, which has consistently focused on satisfying the needs of its diverse customer base in the country, now hopes to bring its unique model of retailing to shoppers and businesses in and around Al-Qurain from September.

Mr. Saleh Al-Tunaib, Oncost’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed his thanks to Oncost’s loyal customers for their support to the brand over the years, and added, “With the opening of our 21st store, we are taking a major step towards our main objective, which is to become the leading grocery retailer in the country with a presence in all governorates of Kuwait. We believe that Oncost would thrive in a market like Qurain because of the strong presence of large family households, restaurants, catering companies and retail offices. Furthermore, our aim is to enrol all our new customers in the Oncost Family Program, which would grant them access to many valuable benefits and exclusive savings on their grocery needs.”

“What makes us stand out from other central markets in Kuwait is our focus on wholesale shopping in a retail environment for a carefully selected assortment of quality products, while providing those products at the best, fair and competitive prices in the market,” said the CEO.

“With the opening of our 21st branch in Kuwait, we are on track to achieve our aggressive target of opening 35 branches across the country over the next five years," Oncost’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Remesh TA said.
