Kuwait Municipality has agreed to allocate the site for the development of the Entertainment City and promised to remove all obstacles at the site.

According to the report by Al-Qabas daily, the Municipality shall submit the detailed plans for the proposed Entertainment City project. This is in addition to providing an integrated traffic study prior to implementation and submitting the design to the Study Group for approval.

The Municipality also approved the request of the Ministry of Public Works for the expansion of the road to the intersection of the Entertainment City.

Earlier it was reported that the Amiri Diwan has undertaken the Development Project of the Entertainment City in terms of responsibility, follow-up and completion, instead of Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC). Entertainment City has been closed since July 2016 and TEC has been criticized for failing to push the project forward.
