ICSK Senior Organizes Workshop on Good Health and School Life Balance.

The Indian Community School Senior organized a workshop on good health, lifestyle and school life balance for the students of classes 7 and 8 on 27th May 2019 at the school auditorium. Dr. S Ganesh [MD] Doctor of Acupuncture, chief therapist and founder of “The Healing Touch “- Rejuvenation Centre was the resource person.
Dr. Ganesh’s compassion for human beings health care and wellness enriched his life with insights that guided him in starting “The Healing Touch”- Rejuvenation Centre. He has both practical experience and qualifications in Acupuncture, Muscle Manipulation, Reflexology and Yoga from multiple schools of thought. The session began with a mellifluous prayer song by the school music band, “Swaranjali”followed by the welcome address by ICSK Senior Principal and Senior Administrator Dr. V Binumon .

The phenomenal moment arrived wherein the 60th edition of the school monthly magazine EPICS was officially released by Dr. S. Ganesh and the Principal of ICSK Senior Dr. V Binumon. The EPICS editors Mrs. Susan George and Mrs. Tintu Wilson also joined the release.
The Principal Dr. V Binumon awarded a memento to the resource person Dr. S Ganesh to evince their gratitude and appreciation for his prized presence. The programme was further continued with the workshop on good health and life style that was presented by Dr. Ganesh . He discussed about the variety of food according to the category of lives of people. He shared his mantra to healthy life which was, “Eat healthy and live healthy.”

He counseled the students about the prominence of good exercise habits. He also advised them to go to bed early and rise early. The session was carried forward interactively. A number of questions were asked to the students to educate them about healthy well being.
The session culminated with a short meditation session wherein the children were asked to feel at ease without any stress and tensions. The children found the workshop quite interesting and informative.
