India’s Debashmita Bhattacharya performed live in Kuwait at Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah

Two of India’s finest young artistes Sarod Maestro Debashmita Bhattacharya and Tabla Maestro Pt Ramkumar Mishra performed live in Kuwait at Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (Yarmouk Cultural Centre). The event organised by Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) to promotes India’s rich among the Kuwaiti audiences are attended by large number of art lovers. The Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and Former Kuwait Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer was the chief guest for the occasion.

India’s gifted young masters Debashmita’s music on Sarod reflected the rich musical tradition of India. The audience received the artist with huge round of applause as she turns out a perfect confluence of rhythm and melody on her Sarod accompanied by Pt Ramkumar Mishra on Tabla.

Earlier IBPC Chairman Mr Shivy Bhasin welcomed the audience and Vice Chairman Mr Anant Kapadiya introduced the artists to the audience. IBPC Secretary Mr Choji Lamba proposed vote of thanks.

IBPC promotes India’s business houses to Kuwait and organises seminars to find opportunities in India. Also, IBPC promotes India’s rich culture by organizing cultural events for the benefit of Kuwaitis and others.
