The Arabian Sweet -Kunafa

Ingredients:

1. Kunafa dough
2. Fresh cream
3. Cheese
4. Corn flour
5. Milk (1 and ½ cup)
6. Sugar (3/4 cup)
7. Butter (3 tablespoon)
8. Nuts (for decoration)
9. Sugar syrup (1/2 cup sugar + ½ cup water)

Kunafa is an Arabic dish, it is one of Ramadan’s delicious traditions and prepared in the month of Ramadan. It is said that Kunafa originally came from Egypt, hundred years ago. Its base is sweet sugar-based syrup and rich topping.

Procedure :

Step 1 : Mix the Kunafa dough with the melted butter.
Step 2 : In another bowl , mix the cream and cheese .
Step 3 : In a sauce pan , mix corn flour , milk and sugar . Heat and mix these in low flame . Wait till it boils .
Step 4 : Add the cream - cheese mixture to the mixture in the sauce pan .
Step 5 :Flatten half of the kunafa dough into a butter wettened non-stick pan .
Step 6 : Now pour the cream up of this . Do not pour the cream into the sides .
Step 7 : Up of this , we can put the rest of the kunafa dough .
Step 8 : Heat up and down till it becomes golden – brown colour .
Step 9 : Pour the sugar syrup up of this . Now decorate it with the nuts .
Result :Now we got a tasty golden – brown kunafa .It is ready to serve.
