SEMHA Cricket Tournament 2019

The sixth edition of the SEMHA cricket Tournament, an annual cricket tournament organized for the employees of SEMHA holding company (Integral Services Co.W.L.L. (ISCO), 3B General Trading & Contracting Co. W.L.L., Phoeniq, Praxis and Aziz Tours & Travels) was conducted this year from March 15th till 19th April.

The SCT was inaugurated on 15th March 2019 by the CEO of SEMHA holding company Mr. Tariq Al Arfaj at ISCO Shuaiba Camp ground. This year 27 teams were participated in the tournament and 27 matches were played on knock out basis. The teams were formed by the employees working under various projects/departments of SEMHA holding company.

Final match was played on 19th April 2019 between defending champion ‘ISCO & 3B Challengers’ team and last year Runners Up team ‘864 Fighters A’. On Final day, 864 Fighters A won the toss and opt to bat first. 864 Fighters A scored 95 runs/ 4 wickets in 12 over. ISCO & 3B challengers made 97 runs without losing any wicket in 11 over.

The history was repeated consecutively third time and ISCO & 3 B Challengers defended their championship by winning the final match by 10 wickets.
The Chairman of SEMHA holding company Mr. Faisal Al Arfaj, CEO - Mr. Tareq Al Arfaj, and DCEO Mr. Omar Al Radwan and the senior management congratulated winning and runner up team for their best performance. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the management.

Mr. Hareesh Menon (Snr.Manager-QHSE&IT) on behalf of the organizing committee thanked the SEMHA management for their inspiration, encouragement and consistent support and encouraging employees towards sports & fitness. He also thanked the participating teams, officials and the organizing committee for their efforts and sportsmanship.

The entire event was planned, scheduled and executed with utmost perfection and timing by the SCT Committee under the leadership of Mr. Hareesh Menon, through the impeccable harmonization between the coordinators, Mr.Unnikrishnan, Mr. Balvant Singh and committee members.

The tournament was a great entertainment with fun filled moments, music and close matches, witnessed by large number of spectators and teams’ supporters.
