In this era of globalization, it’s important to keep a finger on the pulse of the world. MUN or Model United Nations is an extra – curricular activity where students exercise in research, public speaking and team work and they typically role – play delegates of the United Nations and simulate UN committees.(Model United Nations) is exactly as the name suggests - a recreation of the United Nations and how it functions.

On 12th and 13th of April 2019, IES Kuwait sent out 14 of its best diplomats to the newest session of FAIPS-MUN-2019 hosted by FAIPS-DPS Kuwait. An experience in itself, from the arrival to departure, it was a thrilling and exhilarating opportunity for the new starlets to shine through.

FMUN had 4 committees working for the two days of conference with over 100 Delegates. The committees and agendas of this year sessions included:

Legal Committee –State sponsored terrorism
Commission for the status of women – women in military
UN Security Council- Cyberwarfare and Cyberterrorism
And lastly, The European Union –Brexit

Whether it may be the advent of curbing the evils of state sponsored terrorism or the ongoing crisis in Britain, or even dealing with the new age issues of cyber warfare and cyber terrorism or protecting and encouraging women in all phases of life including the military, all of them could definitely say with pride and pleasure that this would be one of the finest moments in our lives, as all the experienced delegates had come back with another achievement under their name whereas the young , new delegates came back with the first taste of the MUN circuit and now hopes for more opportunities!

Fortunately, that is not the only thing Bhavans had returned with! Bhavans has been awarded the overall champion “BEST DELEGATION" for another successful year in a row! IES KUWAIT hopes to set their mark in MUN history and expand uncontrollably with no bound limits!
