FAIPS – DPS convened the fourth edition of FAIPS Model United Nations FMUN-2019

FAIPS – DPS convened the fourth edition of FAIPS Model United Nations FMUN-2019 on the 12th and 13th of April 2019 at FAIPS – DPS. The 2-day conference was inaugurated by Vice Principal of FAIPS –DPS Mrs. Vinitha Munshi.

Having opened their doors to individual delegates for the first time and along with six school delegations, FMUN – 2019 witnessed a strong clash of ideologies of 92 delegates.

FMUN prides itself on being a competitive conference with a training edge.

FMUN 2019 simulated 4 innovative and realistic committees, which provided lively, diplomatic, and productive debates.

The 2-day conference saw delegates engaged in multiple rounds of speeches, debates, negotiations and discussions before coming up with resolutions to solve pressing issues such as cybersecurity crime, state sponsored terrorism, the very prevalent Brexit and sensitive yet the very essential topic of women in the military.

Day 2 of the event ended with the valedictory function, which was graced by Vice Principal, FAIPS-DPS Mrs Bandana Lazarus, where awards and certificates were presented for best position paper, honorable mention, outstanding delegate and best delegate. Indian Educational School won the most coveted ‘Best Delegation’ award.
Ruth Zachariah, Secretary General 2019 expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principals, mentors, faculty advisors, volunteers, pagers and the entire secretariat and commended them for the grand success of the conference amidst thunderous applause. She declared the conference closed after affirming that FAIPS MUN looks forward to welcoming more delegates in the following years.
