KDNA women’s forum marks International Women’s Day

On the advent of international women’s day, Kozhikode District NRI Association (KDNA) women’s wing conducted an enjoyable event at the Riqqai park. It was a wonderful gathering in terms of participation of many families and messages conveyed through it. The evening was filled with joy as members actively participated in creative discussions, rendering songs etc. in the background of nice weather.

The gold medal winner in the world women powerlifting championship, Majiziya Bhanu, who hails from Kozhikode district inaugurated the formal function where she emphasized on hard work and persistence as formula of the success. Her presence was a morale booster for all who attended the function and elevated their thoughts to higher level because of her speech. Women Forum president Leena Rahman presided over the function. She handed over a memento to Majiziya Bhanu.

The traditional delicious food items of Kozhikode prepared by its members were served to the attendees.

The women’s forum office bearers Rajitha Thulaseedharan, Swapna Santhosh, Rami Jamal, Rafiya Anas, Junaida Raoof, Sandhya Shijith, Jayalalitha, Bindu Raghunath, Famitha, Indira Karunakaran, Anseera, Sushama Dinesh, Dillara Dharmaraj, Jasna Jasim, Shafna Sameer, Souda, Shaheena coordinated the event.

Women forum Acting Gen. Sec. Shahina Zubair rendered welcome speech and Treasurer Sajitha Nazeer extended vote of thanks.
