The invocation dance was followed by the launching of the Silver Jubilee Edition of the school magazine – ‘LEGACY’ by the Chief Guest in presence of the Chairman, Principal and Manager.

At this celebrative milestone, quite befittingly, the Founder Principal Mrs. Shyamala Divakaran, who has been at the helm of this most sought-after institution for 25 years, was honoured by the Chairman in recognition of her inspirational leadership, excellent administration and commitment to cause. The staff expressed their solidarity with their beloved Principal with a ‘floral crown.’

The Chairman also felicitated the Manager Mr. Sreekumar for excellence in administration.

Special Awards for Long Service were presented to the staff. Scholastic and non-scholastic awards were given to students from I to XII.

Following the GIS tradition of promoting excellence in education scholastic and non-scholastic awards were presented to the high achievers in different fields by the Principal and Manager.

The evening reverberated with the cheers of jubilant minds that burned up the dance floor. The singers and dancers celebrated patriotism, unity, victory and many other cultural and traditional festivals of Kuwait and India. The vibrant costumes, lively rhythmic movement of the tiny tots, ghoomar and bhangra stole the show.

It was really an evening to cherish through posterity.
