In the daily grind of office life, wouldn’t we be really glad to get a four-tier tiffin carrier in a thermoseal container with fresh warm food at your workplace during lunch time. At the same time who would be carrying a big tiffin carrier to your work place. If at all we are carrying our lunch it will be a sleek plastic box with a sandwich or a light meal. Now, imagine if someone were to deliver such a tiffin box at your door steps? Amazing idea, isn’t it? But who would take so much time and trouble for us. As expats we don’t have parents at home to send food, even if wives are not working it is not really practical to carry food at lunch time in current traffic situation. I too thought the same and believed that it would be possible only in dreams until I saw the advertisement of 8Tiffins. Is it really possible in Kuwait? So many questions came to mind and the only way to find out was to subscribe a meal and see for myself. Presto, I received a four-tier tiffin box in a thermoseal container with fresh homely food at my office sharp at lunch time and the container was picked back later on by them. The whole new experience of fresh homely tiffin opened its way there.

The best thing in this pre ordered meal system is its user-friendly mobile app. You can just download the app and order minimum of 5 meals by paying through your K Net. Quite simple isn’t it? The app also helps you to choose type of meal such as South Indian/ North Indian, Veg and Non-Veg etc. It will give you option to select the 5 days you wish to have. You need to complete the 5 meals in 8 days which gives you freedom to choose other food in between or avoid a holiday if you are subscribing your meal at your office. There are options for 15 meals (valid for 25 days) and 25 meals (valid for 35 days) as well. You can tick mark the calendar as you just mark your wall calendar to choose the days you require your preordered meal. You can also choose your preferences such as Rotis/Rice or Rotis & Rice. In short, Everything at your fingertips. Coupons for Free Meals is made available in the app on special occasions and when subscribing packages of 15 Meals or above. These coupons can be used to add onto your package making it even more value for money. This new meal system made the whole process simpler where no worries of calling and ordering the food each day. Instead, your food packet will come to your way once subscribed.

Live chat facility is available in the app where you can pass your comments about your food, delivery, changes you would like to have, problems you faced, or any other issue related to your meal. The very professional team always respond promptly and even would call you if required. They are more than glad to listen to our concerns and find solutions.

Here comes the most important question. What comes in this four-tier tiffin box? As the old adage goes, the proof is in the eating. Every day there is a bit of a surprise factor on the menu. The menu is not routine and keeps you wondering as to what you are going to get today. Variety of options are available under this meal system. If you go for “Classic Meal” you get the meal in a Four Tier tiffin carrier with Rice/Bread or Rice and bread, one Veg/non-veg curry, one Veg/non-veg fried item. This will cost 900 Fils per meal. If you are looking for little more luxury, you have options for that too. Go for a “Delight Meal” at 1.5 KWD per meal or even better, order 25 meals for 30 KWD. Here you will receive Rice/Bread or Rice & Bread, one Veg/non-veg curry, one veg/non-veg fried item, dessert, and salad in microwave containers. Another interesting option is “Meals for 2” where you can subscribe meal for 2 persons which include Rice/bread or Rice & bread, one veg/ non-veg curry and one veg/non-veg fried item. Though it will cost 1.8 KWD per meal, an order of 25 meals will cost only 40 KWD. At this point am sure you are thinking about the quantity of food. Quantity is quite decent too, which you can see in the Daily Menu given in the App.

We agree to the fact that it is a good option for bachelors where they don’t have to worry about food. I would rather say it is a good option for ladies like me who are tired of eating food made by ourselves and at the same time want to avoid fast food. A variety of Piping hot food delivered to my office table, on time everyday, is certainly welcome. Why don’t we treat ourselves and have a fantabulous meal at work, or have relaxed dinner at your doorsteps after work? Though they started off with lunch meal, 8Tiffins is now on your way with dinner meal as well. Be it bachelors or family, its worth a try. I am sure you will be more than satisfied with the meal delivered at your door steps by 8 Tiffins.
