Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) to restructure fee for expat workers

Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is reviewing the decisions issued in public interest and the needs of the labor market to strike a balance between employers on the one hand and workers on the other.

According to local media report, Deputy Director General for Employment Affairs Hassan Al-Khader issued several resolutions regulating the labor market, including, but not limited to, the assessment of number of workers needed by an employer to run a private sector company based on specific conditions and regulations.

PAM has set controls to regulate the process of transferring laborers from one employer to another. The Authority is studying the fees structure for the expatriates especially since Kuwait fees are the lowest at the GCC level.
