618,365 individuals from suspended nationalities have valid residency in Kuwait

Statistics released by the Residency Affairs General Department in the Interior Ministry revealed that 618,365 individuals from seven countries, whose nationals are banned from entering Kuwait, have valid residency permits in Kuwait.

According to Arabic media Al-Anba daily, these individuals include 152,759 Syrians; 14,999 Iraqis; 38,034 Iranians; 12,972 Yemenis; 107,084 Pakistanis; 13,652 Afghans and 278,865 Bangladeshis.

The statistics also showed that 19,920 of these individuals are working in the government sector; 331,144 in the private sector and 95,215 are domestic workers while 153,903 are on dependent visa.

Report also added that a big number of people from the above mentioned seven countries have been obtaining valid residency permits for years.
