Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2018” Prize Distribution Ceremony

Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2018” Children’s Day painting competition in Powered by “AMERICAN TOURISTER and co-powered by UNIMONI & Faber Castle has concluded with the prize distribution to all winners at a colorful ceremonial function held at Indian Community School, Khaitan on Friday, 7th December 2018. The program was witnessed by Indian Embassy Officials, Community Leaders, Business Personalities, School Principals, Art Teachers and Media Representatives. The Painting competition was held on the occasion of the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.

Mr. Anoop Singh, Attache-Administration, Embassy of India, Kuwait inaugurated the function and appreciated all winners for their fabulous painting works, which were displayed at the entrance. Mr. Anoop Singh appreciated the organizers for conducting such programs.

The spectacular evening started with the National Anthem of Kuwait followed by India. The welcome speech was addressed by Mr. Sunil Kumar. General Secretary, Kala (Art) Kuwait. Organization President Mr. Samkutty Thomas Chaired the function. NIRAM-2018 program reporting done by General Convener Mr. Mukesh V. P. and Judging Assessment was briefed by Niram-2018 Judge Mr. Sasikrishnan. The 14th Anniversary souvenir of “NIRAM“ was released by Mr. Noufel by handing over the first copy to Mr. K. Hassan Koya, Convener Souvenir & Sponsorship. Panel of Judges were honored by Kala (Art) Kuwait by giving away mementos in recognition of their laudable contributions in the field of Arts. Kala (Art) Kuwait presented mementos to Mrs. Anzeen Ayoob & Mr. Jeeves Erinjery for their tremendous support in compeering the event. Kala (Art) Kuwait Social Secretary Jaison Joseph thanked the guests and audience. Then the prizes to all the group winners were presented by the dignitaries.

The Judges adjudged unanimously the Overall Champion Ship 1st Position to IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Abbasiya, 2nd Position - Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School, Ahmadi, 3rd Position- Learners Own Academy, Abbassiya. C. Bhaskaran Memorial Trophy as a tribute to Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala (Art) Kuwait, won by IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, the school from which maximum numbers of students were participated in this event.

It is noteworthy that a total of 2400 students from 24 Indian schools in Kuwait have participated in the competition classified into 5 groups and the prizes were distributed among, Five 1st Prizes in to each group, Seven 2nd Prizes, Ten 3rd prizes, 59 Merit Prizes and 201 consolation prizes (Total 282 Prizes). The first place winners of each group received a Gold coin & Gold medal, Second place winner with silver medal and Third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento, certificate and AMERICAN TOURISTER Sponsored Bag. Merit Prize & Consolation Prize winners received Trophy, Certificate & AMERICAN TOURISTER Sponsored Bag Foot Ball.

Aneesh Varghese, Bharathan, Mustafa, Ashraf Vithura, Sharath V. G. Vishnu Raj, Nithin, Ullas, Samkutty Samuel, Ambili Ragesh, Santhosh O. M. & Sneha Das were active as volunteers to ensure the smooth and successful holding of the program.
