Firefighters dealt with more than 200 calls during rain

Firefighters dealt with more than 200 calls for assistance during the heavy downpour in the country.

According to a press release issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), most of these calls were made by individuals who were trapped inside the vehicles on the roads, or concerning electrical issues, falling of trees, malfunctioning of elevators, and flooding of basements among other cases. For rescue purposes, boats, special vehicles and pumps had to be used.
