Youth India Islamic Fest excites the crowd

Abbasiya zone emerges as winners in the Islamic Fest that Youth India Kuwait conducted with the motto "Creativity for Social Goodness".

In the competitions held between the Fahaheel, Abbasiya, Salmiya and Farwaniya zones, Abbasiya earned 215 points, while Farwaniya became the runners-up with 203 points. Fahaheel and Salmiya zones received the third and fourth places respectively.

About a thousand talented artists competed in over 65 competitions held over 9 stages at the Khaitan Community School.

Individual Champions- Gents: M. M. Abdul Raheem (Abbasiya), Ladies: Soumya Sabeer (Fahaheel), Senior Boys: Minhal Thajudeen (Fahaheel), Senior Girls: Fathima Haneena Muneer (Abbasiya), Junior Boys: T. M. Abdullah (Abbasiya), Junior Girls: Ayisha Thasfiya Muneer (Abbasiya), Sub-junior Boys: Ihsaan Firoz (Farwaniya), Sub-junior Girls: Marwa Abdul Rahman (Abbasiya), Kids: Mehavish (Fahaheel).

The winners received trophies from KIG President Sakeer Hussain Thuvvur. Individual items like Qur'an Recitation, Qur'an Hifz and Azaan were judged by eminent personalities from the Kuwait University, while prominent people from the art and cultural scenario of Kuwait were the judges of other competitions.

Group items like Islamic Group Song, Kids' Marching Song, Oppana, Men's Kolkali and Short Film led to great excitement.

Short films submitted by the four zones were screened. The Farwaniya zone's short film named 'Pra', which tells the story of the flood and exile, won the first place.

Farwaniya zone became the first in Sub-Junior Boys' marching song with Abbasiya and Fahaheel at the second and third places. In the sub-junior girls' Oppana, Abbasiya, Fahaheel and Farwaniya zones received the first, second and third places respectively.

In the senior Boys' Oppana, Abbasiya, Salmiya and Farwaniya zones received the first three places respectively. Fahaheel became the first in Kolkali, with Abbasiya and Farwaniya in the second and third places.

Arrangements were made to know the status of programs being held at various stages as well as the results online.

Youth India executive members handled different departments. The competitions were overseen by KIG shoora members, area executive members and IWA executive members.
