NBTC announces construction of 25 Houses for their employees

For the second consecutive year, the largest and popular corporate group in Kuwait NBTC will construct houses for selected 25 employees of the company. The Partner and Managing Director of NBTC group Mr K G Abraham inaugurated the second phase of their ‘Home For Homeless' project by handing over the first instalment to 25 employees at their corporate office in Mina Abdulla.

Under this scheme, 25 of it’s financially weaker employees will get a financial support for constructing their own home. The company will give a total of 2500 KD for each of them to construct a house. "We will release the money according to the progress of the construction. They have to finish the construction within one year time," said Mr K G Abraham. The company also provided technical support by giving them structural design layout. This facility is given to those workers after reviewing their financial background and the service history with the company. The worker should have a minimum of 3 cent land on their own. The money will be given to construct the house.

Last year, as part of the 25th anniversary of NBTC group, Mr Abraham mooted this idea of "Home For Homeless" by constructing new houses for the employees of NBTC. Last year, the company financially funded the construction of 31 houses for employees. This year also the company selected 25 workers.

NBTC Group with total employee strength of 21,000 employees in Kuwait is one of the largest corporate group in this area. Around 80% of their employees are of Indian origin. "We only look at their economic background and we never check their nationality or religion for providing assistance," Mr Abraham said. This year financial assistance is given to people from India, Pakistan and Nepal.

The company also provide various other facilities to the workers including scholarship for students of their staff, employee insurance scheme etc.
