KCWA Organised Family Picnic on 17th November at Mishref Garden

The pleasant weather conditions in Kuwait drew people in large numbers at the KCWA family picnic, which was held on Friday, 17th November at Mishref Garden, Kuwait. Fun filled day started by invoking God’s blessings through prayer, led by Harry Fernandes

The event was called open by President Hilary Stevan Rego along with KCWA Managing Committee members.The picnic was open to all Mangalorean Catholics residing in Kuwait. Over 600 people gathered at Mishref garden early in the morning to spend the day with the community. President gave a warm welcome to the gathering and requested to enjoy the day with the spirit of togetherness. Management Committee Members joined the President in welcoming the gathering with an action song.

First game ‘Dog and the Bone’ was organized for management committee and after that various fun games like Bombing the City, Aiming the single wicket with the ring, Running on the mat, Sack race were conducted for the child Housie-Housie game had large number of participants and multiple winners in each category.

Other sports event like Volleyball for men, Throw ball for women, Tug of war for men and women were the highlights of the day. Winners were as follows

Winners:- Blue Wales team
Runners up:- Jawad Girls team

Tug of War Men
Winners:- Demons team
Runners up:-Abbasiya Friends.

Tug of War Women
Winners:- Salmiya Friends
Runners up:-Top Star team.

Announcements throughout the day were done by Deepak Andrade and Anil Fernandes. Everyone enjoyed Delicious breakfast and lunch served by M&M Caterers.

Winners of various games and sports conducted during the day, received Trophies/Prizes from President Stevan Rego, Vice President Deepak Andrade, Sports secretary Hywel Pinto and Naveen Mascarenhas.

Alban D’Souza & Alger Mathias captured the special moments throughout the day. Sound was provided by Waves Events & Rentals while DJ Hywel Pinto kept the crowd engaged with the music beats. The event was well coordinated by Deepak Andrade and Harry Fernandes with the support of Managing Committee members and volunteers. Sports events were coordinated by Hywel pinto and Naveen Mascarenhas. Lovely flyers were designed by Reema D’souza. KCWA family picnic was enthralled with lot of fun filled activities to entertain actively participating enthusiastic Mangaloreans.
