Indian Doctors Forum bid farewell to Ambassador Sunil Jain

The Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) Kuwait, held a farewell ceremony for the Indian ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain, and his wife, Dr. Gargi Jain, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on October 24 2017.

The MC for the night was Dr. Pooja Chodankar, Joint Cultural Secretary of the IDF. The evening commenced with an opening address by Dr. Abhay Patwari, President of the IDF, who welcomed the assembled dignitaries and guests, which included; H.E Mr. Sunil Jain and Dr. Gargi Jain; H.E Mr. Yagya Bahadur Hamal, Nepalese ambassador to Kuwait, and his wife Mrs. Hamal; Mr. K.K Pahel, First Secretary of Political Affairs at the Indian embassy; Mr. Anup Singh, Second Secretary of Commerce at the Indian embassy; ex-IDF presidents Dr. Vinod Grover, Dr. Ramesh Pandita and Dr. Amir Ahmed; members of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBC-Kuwait); and executive members of the IDF.

Dr. Diwakar Chaluvaiah, Vice-president of the IDF, gave a farewell address in which he high-lighted the many ways in which H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain helped the Indian community during his posting in Kuwait.

Ex-IDF presidents Dr. Vinod Grover, Dr. Amir Ahmed and Dr. Ramesh Pandita also addressed the audience to bid farewell to the ambassador and his wife. Following this, Mr. Ananth Kapadia and Mr. Ashok Kalra, members of the IBC-Kuwait, thanked H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain for his invaluable service to the Indian community in Kuwait.

Dr. Imtiyaz Bhat, Web Manager of the IDF, presented a short slide show reviewing the various IDF functions the ambassador and his wife attended during their time in Kuwait.

Dr. Surendra Nayak, General Secretary of the IDF, gave the vote of thanks to conclude the ceremony. Dr. Surendra Nayak, Dr, Susovana Suijith Nair, Dr, Anthony D'Cruz and Dr. Anila Albert sang a short Hindi song to end the evening.
