Indian Man arrested for selling forged work permits

Police arrested an employer’s representative for selling forged work permits. Investigations went underway after an immigration department employee became suspicious when he received a transaction to issue a work permit for a farm that already had 60 registered workers. Detectives eventually discovered that the representative who worked for the farm’s owner would forge transactions and issue work permits behind his employer’s back. Moreover, it was discovered that the suspect is wanted to authorities to serve a three-year jail sentence for forgery. Police questioned a number of workers registered on the farm, and they said that each has paid nearly KD 500 to receive their work permits. The Indian man was subsequently arrested and referred to the relevant authorities for further action.
