Kuwait invites Delhi Metro Corporation to be a consultant for Kuwait metro project

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has received an invitation from the government of Kuwait to act as a consultant for the Metro system coming up in Kuwait, Indian media reported quoting DMRC official.

“We have replied to them asking for the current status of the transport systems and the population spread. This will help us get a better understanding of the situation on the ground,” Indian Express Daily reported quoting DMRC officials.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., MRC, is a state owned company that operates the Delhi Metro in the National Capital Region of India. Besides operating the metro, the DMRC is also involved in the planning and implementation of metro rail, monorail and high speed rail projects in India and abroad. For its energy efficient measures, the Delhi Metro has become the first rail system in the world to be awarded the Gold Standard foundation - a globally accepted certification standard for carbon mitigation projects.

At present DMRC is undertaking consultancy operations in Dhaka and Jakarta.
