Krishna – The cultural show in Kuwait

“NaFo” (National Forum, Kuwait) a prominent name heard among the association of Kuwait celebrated their 10th anniversary on 10th MAY 2013 at AIS, Hawally, Kuwait. NaFo which always stood for the people who are in need and who require help is an upcoming association in the society. On account of their 10th anniversary the association organized a delightful evening named Samanwayam for its members as well as the public. The program comprised of the cultural show named Krishna. It consisted of many events which was informative as well as for leisure. The stage had many VIPs’ such as H.E Sathish C Mehta(Ambassador of India to Kuwait), Mr. T.P Srinivasan ( ex-ambassador of India to USA) and many other prominent figures from Kuwait and from India.



The highlight of the show was the cultural show organized by Padmashre Shobana, a leading south Indian actress and a dedicated dancer. The program started with the sweet melodious prayer sung by the NaFo choir group followed by the lighting of lamp by the honored guests. The distinguished guests took their seats in the podium after which they were called to address the audience. The words of Shri.T.P Srinivasan clearly expressed his life experiences and views about the happenings of the world. It was highly motivative and enlightening. After the round of speeches the stage was taken up by legendary dancer Shobana and her team. The team comprised of 15 upcoming artists from Chennai. The cultural show was named Krishna which emphasized on the life of lord Krishna from his birth till death. It clearly visualized the era of lord Krishna and his colleagues. Subtitles were displayed for those who had difficulty in understanding the typical dance forms. After the cultural show NaFo conveners displayed their past year achievements which they had promised to do during the 9th anniversary celebrations. NaFo had accomplished in their task of helping the poor and serving the needy. The program had audiences from different parts of our country who came to enjoy their weekend. The NaFo organizing committee presented mementos to the chief guests and the team members of Shobana. The presence of Shobana’s daughter baby Narayani in the cultural show was highly appreciated by the audience. The program also had raffle draw and winners were called on stage and congratulated.

All present thanked the organizing committee of NaFo for putting up such a spectacular event.
